The day featured insightful speeches from prominent figures and a pivotal panel discussion that delved deep into the intricacies of the blue economy.

The panel discussion, a key highlight of the day, covered various aspects, including skills development, investment opportunities, digitization, and government involvement in the blue economy.

Blue Radio, in partnership with Ken Gen, Bike is Best, Logos Hope, and Oshwal Academy, joined forces with local villagers and the Mombasa County government to plant more than 4,400 mangrove trees.

Mombasa County, 21/09/2023 — Haki Africa on Thursday voiced its profound disappointment with the National Government’s response to peace and security issues in the country.

In a press briefing held at their premises in Mombasa the Human Rights organization drew attention to a number of security concerns which they believe the government has turned their focus away from.

Yusuf Abubakar, Director of Haki Africa, highlighted the prevalence of terrorism in the Lamu and Tana River regions and underscored the role of skyrocketing living costs and youth unemployment in exacerbating insecurity.
