{"id":1705,"date":"2022-11-18T07:25:28","date_gmt":"2022-11-18T04:25:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/giliticsmedia.co.ke\/?p=1705"},"modified":"2022-11-18T07:25:34","modified_gmt":"2022-11-18T04:25:34","slug":"cs-machogu-promises-to-curb-national-exams-cheating","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/giliticsmedia.co.ke\/cs-machogu-promises-to-curb-national-exams-cheating\/","title":{"rendered":"<strong>CS Machogu promises to curb national exams cheating<\/strong>"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By Patrick Chiriba<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cabinet Secretary for Education Ezekiel Machogu has vowed to reduce examination irregularities in this year\u2019s national exams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking at Kisumu Girls, CS Machogu stated that the government is fully committed to ensuring credible and reliable exams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CS added that he is cooperating with ICT CS Eliud Owalo and Interior CS Kithure Kindiki to ensure an open and successful examination process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe will leave nothing to chance as far as the administration is concerned. The multi-agency team is ready, keen and vigilant to deliver uncompromised and successful examination process for year 2022,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CS was flanked by Principal Secretary for Early Learning and Basic Education, Julius Jwan, and Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) CEO David Njengere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CS Machogu had assured Kenyans of dealing decisively with examination cheating after his CS appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He echoed the sentiments during a Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) forum in Nanyuki on 5<sup>th<\/sup> November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The national exams are scheduled to run between 28<sup>th<\/sup> November and 23<sup>rd <\/sup>December.
