Cabinet Secretary for Education Ezekiel Machogu has vowed to reduce examination irregularities in this year\u2019s national exams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at Kisumu Girls, CS Machogu stated that the government is fully committed to ensuring credible and reliable exams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CS added that he is cooperating with ICT CS Eliud Owalo and Interior CS Kithure Kindiki to ensure an open and successful examination process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe will leave nothing to chance as far as the administration is concerned. The multi-agency team is ready, keen and vigilant to deliver uncompromised and successful examination process for year 2022,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CS was flanked by Principal Secretary for Early Learning and Basic Education, Julius Jwan, and Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) CEO David Njengere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CS Machogu had assured Kenyans of dealing decisively with examination cheating after his CS appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He echoed the sentiments during a Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) forum in Nanyuki on 5th<\/sup> November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The national exams are scheduled to run between 28th<\/sup> November and 23rd <\/sup>December. KCPE will be administered between 28th<\/sup> November and 1st<\/sup> December, while KCSE will be issued from 1st<\/sup> December to 23rd<\/sup> December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Primary schools will also conduct the national assessment throughout that time for the first cohort of CBC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Machogu will be the first Education CS to supervise three national examinations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
