The much-awaited Mombasa International Agricultural Show is back in after a two-year absence.

The show started yesterday on Wednesday November 2 and will end on November 6, 2022. However, it will be officially opened today, Thursday November 3.

The assistant chairperson of Mombasa ASK, Mr. Peter Odera announced reduced entrance charges for the show as a way to entice attendance and as consideration of the hard economic times faced by Kenyans.

“This year we have decided to reduce our all charge and entrance fee due to hard economic situation that every Kenyan is experiencing countrywide, our aim is target is to attract many people,” Odera said.

The event is set to showcase exhibitions and models from the ASK along with other corporate exhibitors.

“This year’s show will be very different from previous one, we are expecting more than 150 exhibitors that have already confirmed their attendance including our own Mombasa based firms like Kenya Ports Authority, KPA,” said Odera.

“We have decided to do a lot of models and practical showcases in our exhibitions to show our fans and all those who will attend this show how we run things at our workplace and workshops” he added.

The show will take place at Mkomani ASK Show Grounds opposite English Point Marina. This year’s theme will be “Promoting innovative technology in agriculture and trade”.

Entertainment for both children and adults will also be present at the show.

The reduced charges are as follows;

Adults – Sh.300

Children – Sh.250

Special party rates for schools, farmers and groups of 10 people and more will be

Adults – Sh.250

Children – Sh.200

Essential stickers – Sh.7500

Trade attendance – Sh.1300

Previous charges ranged from Sh.500 for adults, while children were being charged Sh.300 as entrance fee.

Essential stickers and trade attendance was Sh.10,000 and Sh.2500 respectively.
