


President Ruto officially launches the Hustler Fund

President William Ruto on Wednesday launched the eagerly awaited Hustler Fund at Green Park Terminus in Nairobi.
Speaking during the launch, the president said the fund would be vital in unlocking economic equality in the country.
“I am happy that from today we shall all be equal as Kenyans. This is the fund that is going to equalize all the people of Kenya so that every citizen can know that they matter and they count,” he said.

Boost for tourism as MS World Odyssey ship docks at Mombasa Port
Cabinet Secretary for tourism, wildlife, and heritage Peninah Malonza received the ‘World Odyssey’ cruise ship at the Mombasa port on Monday.
The 800 tourists on board docked for a five-day stay on the island.
Speaking to the press, CS Malonza noted that the arrival of a cruise ship after a four-year absence of such vessels is promising for the region’s struggling tourism industry.

KFS intensifies its nationwide tree-planting campaign
Kenya Forest Services (KFS) has stepped up its tree-planting exercise across the country.
In a statement posted on their Twitter account, KFS said that tree planting activities are being conducted countrywide.
“The service in conjunction with educational institutions planted 650 seedlings in schools together with students and the local communities,” the statement in part.

Reduced charges for 2022 Mombasa ASK Show
The assistant chairperson of Mombasa ASK, Mr. Peter Odera announced reduced entrance charges for the show as a way to entice attendance and as consideration of the hard economic times faced by Kenyans.

Revolutionizing urban transport – Electric mass transit bus, Nairobi
Roam, a Kenyan – Swedish green mobility company has launched a 77-seat electric bus at the Nairobi green park terminal in an effort to promote sustainable and environmentally friendly transport in the city.
During the launch, Dennis Wakaba, Roam Project coordinator said that the mass transit bus is designed to help “shift towards better public transport, where we can have people ride in comfort and enjoy the ride with a clear conscience because we are talking about zero emissions.”
